Time Travel

(a continuation of New Journey (1) and Arrival (2))

After we couldn't find the Doctor (@_theta_sigma), Allie (@AllieHarkness) and I looked around the planet, observing that the people there were blue with antennae, but there were some humans there as well.  The Eighth Doctor (@with_two_hearts) advised us on the location of the TARDIS key, so we could re-enter the ship.  Consulting the TARDIS computers, we figured out that we were on Andoria in 2154.  This was the same universe and timeline as @Jean_Pierce, a counsellor on the Enterprise in the future.  I went to question the Andorian guards, but they wouldn't tell me about the Doctor's whereabouts.  The next day, we found the Doctor again and tried to question some of the Andorians.  He told us to wait while he investigated further.  He was lost again.

After waiting the night in the TARDIS, I decided I was going in to get the Doctor after picking up a signal from his sonic screwdriver.

Found it! Now, where is that office?

Okay, you guards! I want to see my friend, @_theta_sigma! I command you on behalf of the Torchwood Institute and the Enterprise!

They're saying they just want to ask him a few questions.

Well, you can ask me, I've got this *holds up scanner*

"We don't recognise that device, but we do know the pinkskin Archer, so we will honour your request" (Andorian guard)

@_theta_sigma I'm getting you out of here! *to guards* I need to get him back to his ship, he's not well.

"Very well, we will escort you back there."

Here's his sonic screwdriver. I'll take it back to the TARDIS.

This is far enough, I'll take him the rest of the way. Thank you. Andorians: 'Farewell'. 

I told @_theta_sigma, 'You're back in the TARDIS'.

Nathan advised me to take the Doctor to the Zero Room in the TARDIS, which optimises recovery for Time Lords.

Next time: how I flew the TARDIS back home with the help of some Time Lords and other friends.

At least at Torchwood, things are back to normal. In the TARDIS, we established contact with the Doctor again. He had been transported to another planet by a device which had been set by the Master on the ship. The Doctor managed to find his way back. I returned to Torchwood with Allie and Jack while the Doctor continued his travels in the TARDIS.

Arrival

I was called in for questioning on the alien ship, but they didn't speak much English, so we didn't get very far. I was sent back to the hotel room.

Torchwood One didn't think they could just take out one of the Sycorax ships without word getting back to their planet, did they?

@_theta_sigma Do you see any Sycorax ships around Earth, because I'm on one of them at the moment. Don't think they like Torchwood too much.

In sort of a hotel room on the ship. Will stay here for a while.

@_theta_sigma It must be sort of a spy vessel, checking up on Earth.

I sent out a message to Jack and the Doctor to see if they knew anything about the aliens. @_theta_sigma responded and picked me up from the ship. We went back to Torchwood to get @AllieHarkness, then the Doctor offered to take us on a trip. Using the Randomiser, we landed on a snowy planet. We left the TARDIS to look around, but soon @_theta_sigma had disappeared.

The Return

Good news! Jack is better, I've told him what's been happening, and we're still in the TARDIS. I found something interesting in the ship yesterday:

Found an ebook in the TARDIS library- it has the words "Don't Panic" on the cover. Good advice.

Inside the Spaceship

I began to realise the Master's mind control over me whilst in the bar with @captainjohnhart. It was the voices in my head I was talking to and not John when I referred to 'My Lord and Master' that night. I envisioned TARDIS' coloured red and blue, and maple syrup, for some reason. The next day, I could think clearly again.

Then, we had a parallel version of me to deal with, and then Jack's illness as a result of contact with some toxic tree sap on an alien planet. He was simply unconscious and anti-toxins from the Torchwood and UNIT medical supplies didn't work. On board the TARDIS, @DoctorJohnSmith administered the antidote from analysing samples from the alien planet and Jack's medical records. @TimeLadyJenny and I explored the TARDIS, finding a jungle and several companions' rooms. While in Ace's room, we made contact with @acemcshane via Twitter from a long time ago, but simultaneously. The Doctor helped free her from her room by talking to the past version of the TARDIS. Now I'm in the TARDIS while the Doctor figures out what @Tremas could have done to her, while we were helping Jack.

Reflection

The Master may have influenced my mind for a while before. But when Jack was in danger, I chose Jack. I didn't allow my friends to be captured by the Master, warning them that we had to get out of UNIT before he arrived. Now the Doctor, Jenny, Allie and I are in the TARDIS, hopefully getting Jack some help from the Doctor, if he's figured out what caused Jack's illness.

New Journey

I like to keep an open mind about people. Whether they are the Doctor, the Master, Captain John Hart, getting to know them is important. So when @captainjohnhart contacted me about coming over to Torchwood, I agreed. My next adventure took me further than I ever thought possible.


@captainjohnhart came over, and I made contact with the current incarnation of the Doctor, @_theta_sigma. I also met @AllieHarkness, Captain Jack's daughter from the future. @thefaceofboe (Captain Jack) and @jonesianto were there too.

The next day, I was entering new alien tech into the Torchwood computer when I heard a knock at the door and thought, 'I'd better see who it is'. It was someone in a cloak who said he wanted to see Torchwood. I told him, 'Well, you've come to the right place'.
Oi, where are you taking me? Some kind of transporter?
all right, a bit rocky, this place- a cave perhaps?
Who are you, anyway? Oh, right then- Sycorax.
This must be the same ship I saw back in London, sort of a scout vehicle.
Then I heard them coming back for me.

Time Bus

The first visitor to Torchwood that I connected with via Twitter, @iriswildthyme, I met in the cells on 3 February.  A renegade Time Lady, Iris had a run-in with Captain Jack and Ianto, after arriving in Cardiff in her TARDIS which appears as a red double-decker London bus.  I later released her from the cells in order to track down a temporal anomaly.  After scanning the area around Cardiff Bay, we discovered that the signal was coming from the Hub itself.  Iris was able to close the loop that was causing the anomaly, after which we went for pizza and dancing in the clubs.  Fantastic! 

Joining Twitter

I first posted on Twitter on 23 January; the first post recorded that I was "Being chased by aliens at the moment- better call the Torchwood team.", I soon connected with Martha Jones, Captain Jack Harkness and Ianto Jones there.  I also found the First, Fourth and Eighth Doctors.  

The next week, Rhys took me to London, where I said 'Visiting the London shops and Madame Tussaud's. I keep wondering if the mannequins and statues are about to come to life and chase us.'  Later, 'Rhys and I followed a Sycorax from the London Eye to his scoutship, when we saw him take off into space.'

Welcome!

Since I've been working at Torchwood, my life has changed in so many ways.  With Captain Jack Harkness and Ianto Jones, I discover new things about the universe every day.  Since joining Twitter, I have met the Doctor and his associates and other new friends.  This blog is a journal of some of those experiences on Twitter and other events from my life.
